All of Us Strangers ⁞⁞ Movie Spotlight

The critically-acclaimed emotional drama All of Us Strangers centers on Adam (Andrew Scott), a lonely screenwriter struggling for inspiration. On one fateful night, he is forced to leave his apartment behind due to a fire alarm. While outside, he spots a figure still in the building, watching from his window, with no fire in sight. That man, Harry (Paul Mescal) later appears at Adam's door. Having been heavily-drinking, Harry suggests they hang out but Adam declines his offer. Adam becomes preoccupied by memories of his past, leading him back to his hometown where he oddly finds his parents (Claire Foy & Jamie Bell) living in his childhood home, despite their deaths over 30 years before. Upon returning to his apartment, Adam again runs into Harry. This time, he accepts his offer. This ultimately kicks off a romance between the two lonely souls, as they grow more and more attached to one another, sharing their family histories in the process. Adam continues to visit his parents, revealing to them everything they missed in his life, including his coming out, leading to very different reactions from his mother and father. As things get more serious between the lovers, Adam invites Harry to the house, revealing that he's been seeing his parents in secret. When they do not respond to Harry, Adam begins to unravel, especially as his parents decide its time to move on. Adam gets final resolution with them over their deaths and returns to the apartment building to find his relationship with Harry also ready to meet a final resolution when Adam makes a shocking discovery about him.
