David Archuleta - Hell Together ⁞⁞ Music Spotlight

American Idol's Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta continued his successful music career with his latest release, "Hell Together." The recently released music video had perfect timing, as he dedicated the song to his mother. The song evokes Archuleta's personal history and exit from the Mormon Church after coming out in 2021, and how it affected his relationship with his mother. Taking place completely inside a church, Archuleta teamed with dancer Olivia Cava for the music video, as Cava provided a visual representation of Archuleta's mother. The song and video were very personal for Archuleta, who detailed how his mother showed willingness to understand his struggles of coming out in a religious community and her decision to leave the Mormon Church as well, just days after his coming out. He remarked that he was inspired by her and other mothers who faced the fear of leaving behind the comfort of what they knew in order to show love and courage for their children. The music video ends with a dedication to his mother and his family.
