Ghosts (4x15-4x16) ⁞⁞ Episode Spotlight
Episode 15 of the fourth season of the comedy series Ghosts saw the Woodstone Mansion playing host to the wedding events for ghost Alberta's great grand-niece Alicia. This plot featured the return of gay stripper Chris (Deniz Akdeniz), as leading lady Sam looked to secure his services for Alicia's bachelorette party. This, of course, got the attention of gay ghost Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), as he happily recalled Chris' talents from his bachelor party the previous season. He watched with the other ghosts as Sam explained to Chris that this new party would be for a real group of women, not an empty chair, as he remembered. The two agreed on the "It's Raining Men" package for the event. Isaac spent the rest of the episode helping to keep the wedding on track as Alberta questioned the acceptability of Alicia's fiancé. When the time came for the bachelorette party, Isaac was in attendance, watching with the other female ghosts outside the mansion as Sam gathered Alicia and her bridesmaids for Chris' big entrance. They were all soon horrified, as his parachute stunt went wrong, causing him to crash through the ceiling of the mansion. Chris seemed to still be pleased with himself and his entrance, until he realized that he died in the crash.
Episode 16 saw the ghosts giving Chris a rundown on life as a ghost, while Isaac saw fate handing him his soulmate, given everything he had learned he had in common with Chris. But, when Chris introduced himself to him, Isaac immediately froze up, leading to an awkward encounter. While Isaac attempted to practice for better interactions that would lead to his expected love connection, he again was left with an awkward result, coming off more creepy than attractive. His ex-fiancé Nigel (John Hartman) appeared, introducing himself to the new ghostly arrival. When Nigel & Chris hit it off instantly, Isaac was left furious. He revealed to Chris that he was the empty chair he danced for. When Isaac explained their connection to Chris and openly claimed they were soulmates, Chris made a hasty exit. Nigel later revealed to Isaac that he and Chris spent some more time together and even kissed. Nigel explained that the last few months had been difficult since their break-up, but he finally saw a potential light at the end of the tunnel, thanks to Chris. Isaac put on a brave face, telling Nigel he was happy for him. Later, while contemplating the situation outside the mansion, Isaac saw Chris descending in his parachute, confusing him. He didn't understand how he was able to leave the mansion property after his death. Chris figured he had found his ghost power, which allowed him to take off and go anywhere, flying above the ghost boundary. He prepared to see the world, but Isaac asked about him leaving Nigel despite their connection. It was revealed that Chris' time with Nigel didn't leave much of an impression on Chris. Isaac worried about Nigel feeling rejected again. Chris asked Isaac to give him his regards before taking off. Later, Nigel came to Isaac wondering what happened to Chris. Isaac lied to spare Nigel's feelings, telling him that Chris crossed over into the white light, which left Nigel disappointed but not brokenhearted.
