Mid-Century Modern ⁞⁞ Series Spotlight


The new Hulu comedy Mid-Century Modern explores the friendship between a trio of aging gay bachelors who find themselves living under the same roof, choosing to spend their golden years together as a family. Bunny Schneiderman (Nathan Lane) opens his home to his close friends, fashion expert Arthur (Nathan Lee Graham) and ex-Mormon flight attendant Jerry (Matt Bomer) in the wake of the death of their fourth friend George. Realizing that life is too short to lose touch, they decide to become housemates in Bunny's mansion, where he lives with his mother Sybil (Linda Lavin). Comedy ensues as the group gets themselves into shenanigans related to their lives, their jobs, and their romantic entanglements. The 10-episode sitcom featured a host of guest stars, including out actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Zane Phillips, and Bradley Gibson. The series also featured Richard Kind, Bruno Amato, Adam Hagenbuch, and model Renan Pacheco playing roles as queer men who get involved with the show's leading trio.
