Wish You Were Queer ⁞⁞ Reality TV Spotlight

OutTV released the reality comedy Wish You Were Queer, which follows L.A. comedians Michael Henry & Tim Murray in their quest to get their stand-up comedy special off the ground. They go to famous drag queen Trixie Mattel, looking to secure her as a producer for the special. However, before Trixie will invest, she challenges them to leave Los Angeles behind and travel across America to prove their comedy chops in some venues out of their comfort zones. Michael & Tim accept the terms. The six-episode series explores their trips to Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida & Louisiana where they explore local gay culture and attempt to gather enough interest in their comedy to fill and entertain a local venue. Trixie checks in with the duo along the way, flanked by scantily-clad queer performers Arthur Brown & Drew Valentino. The series also featured appearances from social media influencers The Mean Gays (Aaron Goldenberg & Jake Jonez).
