Clown in a Cornfield ⁞⁞ Halloween 2025
Based on a novel, the teen slasher Clown in a Cornfield tells the story of Quinn (Katie Douglas), a young woman who moves to the small Missouri town of Kettle Springs with her doctor father in the wake of family tragedy. When the rebellious Quinn falls in with a group of classmates who spend their time posting horror videos that paint the town's historic mascot Friendo the Clown as a killer, they all find themselves targeted by the masked bloodthirsty clown. Quinn strikes up a high school romance with the group's wealthy ringleader Cole (Carson MacCormac), the son of the town's mayor. Cole also shares some history with the quiet Rust (Vincent Muller), Quinn's neighbor who is the first local to interact with her, giving Quinn some background on the town and the teen culture. Quinn & Cole get closer, leading to a further wedge with her father (Aaron Abrams). They attend the teen's secret barn party together, after encountering Rust who revealed his past friendship with Cole, including some embarrassing comments about Cole's past. With the barn party in full swing, Quinn gets Cole alone, but he interrupts their make-out, urging her to take things slow, which causes Quinn to leave him behind, only to run into Friendo.
Quinn and her two surviving friends (Cassandra Potenza & Verity Marks) witness two kills in front of them, leading Rust to intervene, shooting the clown dead. But they soon realize they have a bigger problem, as several more clowns emerge from the nearby cornfield with weapons ready to strike. They meet up with Cole and escape to a shed, where Cole & Rust's conflict reaches a boiling point, leading Rust to reveal their past romance, shocking the girls and Quinn. Rust risks his own life to set a fiery trap for the clowns, allowing Cole and the girls to escape. Cole is left distraught to see the shed explode, presumably with Rust inside. Cole is later captured by the clowns while his friends are hunted down, leaving only Quinn alive. She is taken by the clowns who reveal their identities as adult members of the community, hellbent on preserving the town's history even at the cost of the teens' lives. Cole's father (Kevin Durand) is revealed as the head of the killer Friendo cult and reveals his plans to cover-up Cole's impending murder, blaming him for the death of Cole's sister. Quinn's father arrives, buying Quinn & Cole some time until Rust arrives, shooting the rope hanging Cole, freeing him. The boys share a kiss and reunion, ultimately surviving with Quinn and her father.
