Big Mistakes ⁞⁞ Series Spotlight

The Netflix comedy Big Mistakes centers on Nicky (Dan Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), siblings feeling little purpose in their lives, as they deal with their mother Linda (Laurie Metcalf) and her political aspirations. The family comes together for the siblings' grandmother as she is close to the end of her life. When they look to fulfill one of her last wishes through the gift of a necklace, Morgan decides to steal the jewelry, which puts them on the radar of Yusuf (Boran Kuzum), the seller who comes looking for the merchandise, under the threat of murder. As the two are forced into becoming accomplices for Yusuf's criminal, they find themselves rethinking their lives. 

Nicky is a gay pastor, keeping his relationship with his boyfriend Tareq (Jacob Gutierrez) a secret. Now, Nicky finds himself keeping his own criminal activity a secret from Tareq, further complicating matters, as Tareq looks to take the next steps in their relationship. When Nicky & Morgan are forced to travel to Miami to help with a drug deal, Nicky must also fend off the flirtations of Filipe (Renan Pacheco) until the deal goes awry and the drug dealers all end up dead. Nicky & Morgan return home to await the results of their mother's mayoral campaign, only to eventually discover that the true mastermind behind their fates may be closer than they ever realized. The series also featured a guest appearance from RuPaul's Drag Race winner Symone, who played an unnamed drag queen who crosses paths with Nicky & Tareq in one episode. The series has been renewed for a second season.
