Troye Sivan - Party ⁞⁞ Music Spotlight

Troye Sivan recently released "Party," a new track from his latest album, She's the Best. Sampling Madonna's hit song "Music," the dance track, co-written by Sivan, is an ode to nightlife and freeing oneself on the dance floor as an historically queer safe space to interact with friends and even strangers. The accompanying music video, which includes narration from Sir Ian McKellen, takes the singer back in time, illustrating the camaraderie and comfort of a post-battle party centuries in the past. Sivan has said that McKellen's openness with his sexuality was an inspiration to his own coming out as a teenager. Sivan's valiant knight celebrates victory among his peers and even strikes up a romance with another man (Pietro Seggio) he crosses paths with during the celebration. Seggio shows some nudity during the video. "Party" was the second track released as a single prior to his album's release on October 9th.
