Ghosts (3x10) ⁞⁞ Episode Spotlight

Episode 10 of the third season of the CBS comedy Ghosts acted as a sequel to Episode 7. Appropriately titled "Isaac's Wedding," it picked up preparations for the nuptials of engaged ghosts Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Nigel (John Hartman). The episode began with Isaac dreaming of his wedding, which was interrupted by his bachelor party stripper, Chris (Deniz Akdeniz), leading to a major conflict as Isaac continued to lust after him. Chris popped open his shirt and again displayed his knowledge of dinosaur sounds, speaking to Isaac's heart until he woke up, finding Nigel by his side in bed. Isaac didn't reveal the context of his dream, but did later reveal it to his fellow ghost, Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), who was going to be acting as the ceremony officiant. Sasappis suggested that Isaac simply get Chris off his mind, especially given that he would never see him again. He figured Isaac just had cold feet and Isaac agreed, until they saw Chris arrive at the B&B, revealed as the wedding DJ hired by leading man Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), who was unaware of the bachelor party and Isaac's previous interaction with Chris. Isaac was instantly enthralled once again, as Chris lifted his shirt to wipe away his sweat.

Meanwhile, Isaac's fiancé Nigel dealt with other wedding preparations, including breaking the news to the basement cholera ghosts that they would not be allowed to attend the wedding due to space, which they disputed. Back in the lobby, the other ghosts tried to calm Isaac who took Chris' appearance there as a bad sign for him getting married. His fellow ghost Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) suggested to leading lady Sam (Rose McIver) that she ask Chris some questions, since getting to know him would allow Isaac to see they had little in common. Sam obliged, only for them all to learn from Chris that he was also gay, interested in civil war history, and had no sense of smell which would make him immune to Isaac's ghostly stench. Isaac was thrown into a further panic as a result. Sam, Sasappis & Trevor (Asher Grodman) tried to warn him not to throw away his fiancé for a man on a different plane of existence, just as they got word that Chris was having a medical episode. He was allergic to the hors d'oeuvres that Jay put out and appeared to be dying, causing Isaac to feel it was even more of a sign. Later, it was revealed that Chris was alive and on his way to the hospital, but Nigel was unable to ignore Isaac's behavior, confronting him about it. Isaac told him of his cold feet and brushed things off to get Nigel down the aisle. However, when it came to saying 'I do,' Isaac was unable to commit, saying he felt something was missing between them. Isaac then fled the wedding.

He later revealed to everyone that he spoke to Nigel and apologized, but he was not ready to be married and didn't want to make a mistake he would regret later. Everyone assured him that he made the right decison. Hetty reminded him that despite being hundreds of years old, he's only known his true identity for a short time. Isaac told them that Nigel had taken the news well. Isaac later went into the basement where the cholera ghosts claimed to have a gift for his big day, despite it being called off. The episode ended with them luring Isaac to the angry Puritan ghost Patience who had come seeking revenge on Isaac, snatching him away.
