Set in the posh academy of Las Encinas, Netflix's long-running teen drama Élite comes to an end with Season 8, premiering on July 26. For years, the spicy mystery drama from Spain captivated audiences as the students waged class and culture wars set upon the backdrop of each season's major mystery. The series was never shy about queer inclusion and over the years many of the show's dramas involved steamy queer relationships. As Las Encinas prepares to close its doors, this week's listicle highlights 10 of the steamiest moments that led to queer drama. Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

Omar & Ander's first time
(Season 1: Episode 7)
The gay romance between Omar (Omar Ayuso) and Ander (Arón Piper) has become Élite's most iconic. The queer love connection the two experienced in the very first season has remained unmatched in the years since. As the drama's first gay couple, their very first love scene was not only a steamy encounter, it kicked off all of the drama that would come after for the couple, for years to come. In the immediate aftermath of their hookup, their secret romance was discovered by Ander's mother who would arrive in time to witness them kissing goodbye. Before Omar's infidelity, it was Ander that got steamy outside their relationship back in Season 2. Polo sought to strike up a throuple and this led to a private moment between the guys, where Polo looked to make sure Christian was willing to play with him, as much as Carla. His indecent proposal led to things getting steamy between the two all by themselves. This would lead to major drama as Christian's affections were squarely on Carla and Polo spun out of control mentally.

Omar would arrive to his apartment and walk in on the two having sex in his bed, leading to immediate drama. Omar broke things off with Joel, feeling like the younger man was only with him out of pity.
