Olly Alexander - Cupid's Bow ⁞⁞ Music Spotlight

Breaking from his time as Years & Years for his first album Polari under his own name, actor/singer Olly Alexander released his debut single from the album, titled "Cupid's Bow." The track is an uptempo electro pop song. Alexander has said that he was inspired by 80's club music when developing the sound for his new album. The accompanying music video cast Olly as Cupid, who has a fateful encounter with Archangel (Sam Pereira) in a wrecked, deserted landscape. Cupid is seemingly alone until Archangel speeds onto the scene in a red sports car. Their confrontation turns to connection, in a fight for passion, until Cupid's infamous bow enters the picture, striking Archangel and leaving him in the arms of Cupid, as viewers are left to wonder who was actually pursuing whom in the narrative. The music video was directed by Colin Solal Cardo. The full album Polari is set for release on February 7, 2025.
