Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka

For the third film in the series, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, one lengthy scene poked fun at the sexuality farce, featuring Harris' real-life partner David Burtka, also portraying a version of himself. The two publicly played up their romance for the media, only to comedically reveal in private that their relationship was all an act for publicity, claiming both were actually straight.

The Flight Attendant

Out actor Michael Arden played the supporting role of Patrick on the Charlie Sheen-led FX comedy Anger Management. During Season 2, the series looked to cast a love interest for Patrick, as he looked to make a love connection. Arden's real-life boyfriend Andy Mientus fit the bill perfectly.
