Orville Peck - Drift Away ⁞⁞ Music Spotlight

Orville Peck recently released his new track "Drift Away." The song evokes an aimless time of youth, with little structure and time to spare in a small town. With lyrics written by Peck himself, the country track has Peck singing about how companionship and camaraderie were signature parts of youth and a much-needed outlet for self-expression. The accompanying official music video juxtaposes Peck singing on stage with scenes of a group of youths frolicking the day away in their town as time drifts away. The video was directed by Studio Antics (Tilly Robba & Steph Jowett) and features Max Stark and Fraser Crane as two young men bonding together amongst their group of female friends, culminating in the group splashing around a sprinkler.
