Christmas Above the Clouds ⁞⁞ Christmas 2025

The Hallmark original Christmas Above the Clouds was a reimagining of the classic story A Christmas Carol. The new movie follows Ella Neezer (Erin Krakow), a high-powered business woman whose negative attitude and focus on work, despite the holiday season, leads to her being put on a journey of change to rediscover her Christmas spirit. Ella boards a Christmas Eve flight from New York to Australia, meaning that the time difference will get them there after Christmas. She forces her thankless assistant Bobbi Cratchit to join her, causing her to miss Christmas with her family. And onboard, Ella runs into former flame Jake Phelps. She also quickly encounters the film's gay character, Pip (Erik Gow), a flight attendant filled with holiday spirit and looking to make the travelers' journey special for the holiday. Ella quickly clashes with his upbeat attitude, wanting no part of his festive cheer, and penchant for slipping into song with "The 12 Days of Christmas." Pip's attempts to bring Christmas to the skies are met with Ella's sneer, though it doesn't appear to dampen his spirit for the holiday. In the end, Ella learns her lesson and makes amends with the people in her life. She also manages to turn things around with Pip, agreeing to the special holiday meal offered on the plane.
