Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas ⁞⁞ Christmas 2025

The OWN original Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas tells the story of Maya (KiKi Layne), a lonely professor, who shares what she believes is a meet-cute with a handsome stranger in the grocery store. She leaves her phone behind and when he tries to return it, he slips on ice and falls unconscious. Maya is by his side at the hospital, where her best friend claims she is the man's boyfriend upon the arrival of his doctor, Daniel (Etienne Maurice), who is Maya's ex-boyfriend. Maya learns the man's name is Keenan (Carlisle J. Williams), and when his family arrives, she gets drawn further into the lie, pretending to be Keenan's girlfriend while he is left in a coma. Over the course of several days leading to Christmas, the lonely Maya bonds with Keenan's family while trying to avoid Daniel, despite their spark obviously still burning a bit. 

When Daniel wakes up on Christmas Eve, he immediately blows up Maya's ruse, causing her to apologize and flee. Daniel then reveals to his family that he was planning to bring someone home for Christmas: his boyfriend. The family is supportive of his coming out and the boyfriend Leo (Daniel Malik) arrives promptly, revealing he was late getting back into town and hadn't been able to find Keenan. After thanking Daniel for his medical support, the family accepts Maya's apology and welcomes her for Christmas, just as Daniel arrives, revealing he was also invited. Keenan, Leo and the family watch as Maya & Daniel rekindle their romance and they all enjoy Christmas dinner together where Leo reveals to the family how he met Keenan.
