9-1-1 (9x7) ⁞⁞ Episode Spotlight

Episode 7 of the ninth season of the ABC drama 9-1-1 was appropriately titled "Secrets" and featured a steamy subplot for bisexual main character Buck (Oliver Stark). After taking the lead in a particularly unique call in the field, requiring Buck to cut through a businessman's metal chastity belt on top of a meeting table, he looked to cut loose with his comrade Ravi (Anirudh Pisharody) and his best friend Eddie (Ryan Guzman). This led them to grabbing drinks at a club, where Buck looked to help Eddie get back in the game with the ladies. After spotting a beautiful woman (Jillian Murray), Buck approached her with the intention of seeking her interest in Eddie, only to return having secured her phone number for himself. Buck later headed off to the bathroom, where he shared a spark with a guy (Dean Geyer), leaving his friends annoyed at Buck's luck in the club. This was followed by an extended montage of Buck dating both Jade and Zane, from restaurant meals to dancing at the club to steaming up Buck's bedroom. While working out at the fire station, Buck shared the details of his exploits with Eddie & Ravi, leading them to check out Jade's social media. 

As Buck told them that he had not felt something this special since his break-up with his boyfriend Tommy. Now he was feeling it with two people. Then, Eddie & Ravi made a discovery of their own online and revealed to Buck that Jade and Zane were related. Buck was stunned, explaining to them that he had no idea. After revealing he didn't even know their last names, he remembered each of them mentioning a sibling of the opposite sex. Eddie & Ravi teased him for sleeping with siblings and Buck realized he needed to break things off. Later, Jade & Zane showed up at the fire house together, catching Buck by surprise after his break-up texts to them. With Eddie & Ravi at his side, he confronted them about being siblings and they revealed that wasn't true. They were actually a married couple, looking to open their relationship to a third. Buck and his friends were surprised to hear this as Jade & Zane revealed they would play separately first, to see what kind of chemistry there was, before inviting someone into their bed together. They made the offer to Buck, but he declined, telling them that he was still learning to be a good half of a relationship and he wasn't ready to be a third of one. After Jade made eyes at Ravi and Zane made eyes at Eddie, causing the friends to flee, the disappointed couple left Buck behind.
