Leviticus ⁞⁞ Halloween 2026

The Australian supernatural horror film Leviticus follows Naim (Joe Bird), a teen feeling unhappy since his move to a small town with his mother (Mia Wasikowska). When he gets invited to hang out by Ryan (Stacy Clausen), a visit to an abandoned mill leads to a sexual awakening for both teens. They both agree to keep their new connection a secret, especially since they don't spend much time together in their very religious community. But when Naim spies Ryan kissing the son of the local preacher, Hunter (Jeremy Blewitt), his jealousy leads him to out the two, telling Hunter's parents about what he saw. This leads to Ryan & Hunter being placed into the hands of a religious "healer," who uses fire to purge them of their indecency.

Naim witnesses the horrific ceremony and quickly finds both Ryan and Hunter changed by the experience. Ryan tries to keep his distance, when Naim notices him spending time alone with an invisible companion, things turn dangerous and he realizes Ryan is being tormented by something more demonic. Ryan claims that the demonic presence is Naim, and when Naim later witnesses Hunter being attacked by the invisible entity, he tells authorities and reveals his connection to Ryan. This leads his mother to place Naim into the hands of the healer for another ceremony. Naim then begins seeing apparitions of Ryan that attempt to kiss him, only to turn violent, trying to kill him, just as it happened to Hunter.

Naim & Ryan confide in each other about their supernatural encounters, pushing them closer together, as they learn it will only attack them if they're alone, and always takes the form of the person they have feelings for. But when Ryan learns that Naim was the person that outed him and Hunter, he breaks things off, leaving Naim to fend off the entity when it comes after him again. This leads to a face-off at the mill, where Naim sets the building on fire, leaving the entity to apparently perish. But when he learns that Ryan has gone missing, he wonders if what he faced was the entity at all. After learning that his mother knew the consequences of the healer's work, Naim turns against her. He finds Ryan at a bus station and after confirming to each other that they are real, the two happily leave town together.
