The Pink Popcast ⁞⁞ YouTube Spotlight
The Pink Popcast is the YouTube home of best pals Benji Jones and Josiah J. Rizzo, hosting their collection of movie and series reactions, reviews, and podcast episodes. The self-proclaimed "excessive talkers" put a comedic spin on their commentaries, drawing on their chemistry as a duo, one straight (Rizzo) and one gay (Benji). The channel began in 2019. Since then it has amassed over 153k subscribers, with over 36.6 million views across 388 videos. Their content ranges from musicals like Mamma Mia! to dramas like Bridgerton, in addition to queer media like G.B.F., Overcompensating and But I'm a Cheerleader. Speaking of classics, their reactions are not restricted to current popular releases as they also react to older films like Die Hard, Home Alone, and The Wizard of Oz. In 2023, the duo launched their second channel, Popcast But Scary, which has become a vehicle for their more horror themed reactions. With 44 videos and over 26.7k subscribers, the second channel has garnered over 1.5 million views since it's inception.
