The Heart Killers ⁞⁞ BL Spotlight

Blending themes of romantic comedy, family conflict, and crime drama, the BL series The Heart Killers follows Kant (Kanaphan Puitrakul), a tattoo artist working as a spy for the police in an effort to overcome his criminal past and get rid of his record. This causes him to take their offer to spy on "brothers" Bison and Fadel, who are under suspicion and believed to be hitmen. It isn't long before Kant realizes the rumors are true, but his plan to get close to Bison (Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan) in order to collect evidence for the police backfires as sparks fly and the two fall in love. When Fadel's overprotective behavior threatens to keep them apart, Kant enlists his best friend, mechanic Style (Natachai Boonprasert), to distract Fadel (Archen Aydin) in exchange for a car. After a first encounter fender-bender, Style takes on the challenge and puts himself in a position to crack Fadel's stuffy exterior.

As Kant & Bison become more deeply involved, the same happens for Style and the reluctant Fadel. But, Bison & Fadel are forced to juggle their new romances with their burger business and continued crime missions, dictated by their boss and "mother" Lilly (Thanaporn Wagprayoon) who raised them as brothers, along with a third orphan Keen (Phanuroj Chalermkitporntavee), who works by her side. She sets them on their most personal mission, to kill the man responsible for their parents' death. Under more pressure from the police to bust the crime ring, Kant grows more bold while fighting his loyalty to Bison. Things turn to chaos when Bison spies Kant with the police, breaking his cover. Bison & Fadel turn on their lovers, looking for revenge, while Kant & Style both express their guilt and reveal their love.

The two couples ultimately make amends choosing love over duty, while also evading an assassin of their own, in the form of a disguised Keen. When they realize his identity, it becomes more clear that Lilly is out to eliminate them. This leads to the revelation that Lilly was the actual culprit behind their parents' deaths, as she looked to groom the boys into her obedient soldiers. They leverage Keen's secret romance with another of Lilly's employees, Thanon (Chayakorn Jutamas), to get the information they need to bring her down. While Kant & Style convince them not to choose violence, they are still arrested and sent to prison. Kant & Style work to keep their relationships strong despite their separation and the foursome are later reunited. Lilly seeks a final revenge by abducting Kant's brother and Style's father, causing the quartet to foil her once more and rescue them. Bison & Fadel are finally able to break free of their "Mother," choosing love with their new partners.

The Heart Killers is a latest hit in the new generation of Thai BL drama, with more open depictions of sex and violence, along with multiple queer romances. The series reunites BL veterans Kanaphan Puitrakul & Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan after their pairing in the series Moonlight Chicken, The Eclipse, Our Skyy 2, Only Friends, and Ossan's Love. The partners are set to start another romance later this year in Cat for Cash. Archen Aydin & Natachai Boonprasert also share a BL past thanks to their pairing in Hidden Agenda, Star and Sky, and Our Skyy 2. The real-life couple will reunite for the upcoming series Dare You to Death.
